AMD is now opening up its Infinity Fabric technology to outside firms, a huge announcement that will expand the number of companies that use its networking protocol. Meanwhile, Nvidia's CUDA remains proprietary.

One of the non-MI300 announcements is that AMD is sharing Infinity Fabric with other ecosystem partners. An example is that Broadcom was on stage saying next-gen Broadcom switches will offer Infinity Fabric and XGMI to offer an alternative to NVLink. Today, AMD’s system-to-cluster interconnect is Ethernet (and Infiniband.) Still, that is in the future.

Like NVIDIA is doing with their NVLink-C2C technology, AMD is now also offering Infinity Fabric IP to innovators and partners.
Until now we haven’t seen NVLink-C2C in any other hardware besides what’s coming from NVIDIA. When will we see Infinity Fabric in any other chip?
