And that is also the fact.. this is a nice advertisement for ASUS, you know, on the ASTRAL cards they have the per-pin sensing, which will directly tell you this, but the founders edition cannot do it.
On the founders edition, i mean, we have the connector which carries 6 * 12v and 6 * GND. But on the connector itself on the card, this just get combined into 1 * 12v and 1 * GND, the card has no clue what the connector is doing, unlike the difference that you see with the ASTRAL cards.

der8auer配合海盗船AX1600+5090FE,furmark烤鸡时复现出了12VHPW接口高温问题。仅仅4分钟烤鸡,电源接口温度高达140度,显卡侧接口也有90度。
随后他中止了测试,并表示:这是我手上唯一一张5090FE,我可不想因为这个测试毁了手上的设备。
通过热成像仪+钳形电流表发现:在12VPHW接口的12根线中,有两根线温度很高(约50度),钳形表测得线上电流约20A左右。这远高于正常规范(他猜测正常是6-8A,但规范是最高9A左右)。
随后他开玩笑说给ROG的夜神打了个广告,因为夜神的12VHPW供电是独立6路回路(6条12V,每条都拥有独立的回路),而且每一路的负载在显卡上均有独立传感器。
公版只有一个12v+一路回路设计,简单来说就是,公版上的12VHPW,六根12v和六根GND都是各自简单并联。
根据初中物理知识,多条等价回路并联时,电流会偏向于走电阻最小的一条。
对于FE卡来说,接口焊接+接口插拔时,每一pin回路之间微小的电阻差异,都会等比例反应在电流分配上。
热量和电流平方成正比,所以部分12VHPW线材+pin出现了过热情况。
